About Us

The Koro Secondary School Story

Koro Secondary School was established in 2003 as a seed secondary school with an initial student population of seven (7) learners. Of these, four (4) were in Senior One and three (3) were in Senior Two. The school was originally located at the Koro Sub-county headquarters.
At its inception, the school had a total of fourteen (14) teaching staff, comprising seven (7) male and seven (7) female teachers.

The school began as a day β€œO” Level secondary school and initially had no permanent classroom structures. Lessons were conducted in the Sub-county council hall, supplemented by temporary structures consisting of four classrooms. At the time, the school lacked essential facilities such as a library, administration offices, and science laboratories.
Despite these challenges, the school community demonstrated resilience and commitment, laying a strong foundation for future growth.

The inception of Koro Secondary School was pioneered by a dedicated team of staff members, including Mr. Opio Bernard, who served as Headteacher; Mr. Chagan Dick, Deputy Headteacher; Mr. Olal Hendry, Technical Drawing; Mr. Canpwonyi Samuel, Mathematics; Ms. Arwenyo Beatrice, Biology and Chemistry; Mr. Komakech Kennedy, Geography; Mr. Nyuma Lawrence, Physics and Mathematics; Mr. Oyetalit Bosco Ociti, Biology and Chemistry; Mr. Onekalit Kenneth, Geography and Political Education; Ms. Apiyo Beatrice, Business Education; Ms. Aber Catherine, History and CRE; and Ms. Apio Betty, Agriculture.
